Is the deposit refundable in the event of a cancellation?


No, as per our Terms and Conditions, the deposit is non-refundable.

However, if you have made a Free Cancellation Booking, which you cancelled through your Hostelworld account within the period of notice required by the travel services provider, the deposit will be refunded.

If your booking is a Standard Flexible Booking, and is cancelled within the period of notice required, the deposit will not be refunded but credited back to your account in US Dollars for use on a future booking through us.
